For engineering firms: less proposal and project paperwork, client files protected.
Your engineers should be engineering. We automate the proposals, project setup, and document tracking around the work, and protect the drawings and client data your firm is trusted with.
Senior engineers doing clerical work.
Firms win work on expertise, then lose hours to the paperwork that surrounds every project.
-
Proposals and project admin pile up
Requests for proposals, resumes, project setup, submittal and request for information (RFI) logs, and invoicing backup all compete with billable time.
-
Project files travel everywhere
Drawings and client data move between staff, clients, and subconsultants through shared folders, email, and transfer links that are rarely cleaned up.
-
Clients and insurers want proof
Public and private clients send security questionnaires. Professional liability and cyber insurance applications ask how you protect project data.

Automations that take work off the desk.
Three examples of what we build for engineering firms. Your Blueprint picks the ones that fit your firm. We find what fits the job: we start with your requirements and work with you to choose the right tool, whether that is ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, n8n, Power Automate, or a custom build. We resell none of them.
Proposal first drafts
Pull relevant past project descriptions and staff resumes into a first draft for a new proposal, ready for a principal to shape and price.
Project kickoff setup
Create the project folder structure, set the right access for the team, and start the checklist the moment a project is won.
Submittal and RFI tracking
Log submittals and RFIs from email into one tracker and flag what is waiting on a response, so nothing sits in an inbox.
Protect the work product, and prove it.
Your drawings, calculations, and client data are the firm's value. We secure them where they are actually stored and shared.
- External sharing under controlShared links and outside access to project folders reviewed, expired, and removed when a project or subconsultant relationship ends.
- Invoice and payment fraud controlsMulti-factor authentication (MFA) on email and a verification step before any change to payment instructions.
- Backups you can restoreProject archives backed up in a way that survives ransomware, with a restore actually tested.
- AI rules for project documentsWhich tools may see client drawings and data, and which may not.
- Defense work, if you do itIf you hold Department of Defense contracts, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements may apply. If you do defense work, we will tell you where CMMC applies.
The 21-Day Do More With Less Blueprint for Engineering Firms
Fixed scope, fixed price, 21 days. We find where AI and automation can save your team time, where your security has gaps, and what to do first. About 2 hours of your time, total.
- Proposal, project setup, and document tracking tasks worth automating first
- How project files are shared with clients and subconsultants, and who can still reach them
- A written AI use policy for project documents and client data
- Answers and evidence for client security questionnaires and insurance applications

The full Blueprint fee is credited toward the first quarter of an Operator Program retainer if you sign within 30 days of the readout. We take on 4 Blueprints a month. Blueprints start on the 1st and the 15th of each month.
Common questions from engineering firms.
Do we need CMMC?
Only if you do defense work that involves controlled unclassified information or federal contract information under Department of Defense contracts. Most commercial and municipal engineering work does not. If you do defense work, we will tell you where CMMC applies.
Will AI tools see our client drawings?
Only if your policy allows it and the tool is set up for it. We configure AI tools so client data is not used for model training wherever the tool allows it, and we document each tool's data handling. We also write clear rules about what can be shared.
Do you support our design software?
No. Your IT provider and software vendors keep supporting your design tools and workstations. We focus on the automation and security around them.
